While their focus is predominately on large-scale complex programmes and frameworks in the PFI and BSF market, notably the Kent Grouped Schools PFI, Bradford BSF Pathfinder and activities of Learning21. Our client is committed to providing the highest quality facilities and environments in the primary, secondary and tertiary sectors where students can excel.

This post requires the management of design on the Bradford Education projects (BSF), typically from bid through to completion. Successful applicant must ensure all aspects of the Design Management procedures are implemented accurately for this PFI project.

You will be required to manage in the production of the contractors proposals, ensuring they are completed, unambiguous, and have been reviewed by the bid team and have been updated to include all post tender negotiations. It is crucial that all design deliverables are reviewed to establish they are within budget, are fully co-ordinated and are buildable.

Qualifications/Skills Required

The successful candidate will be of Graduate calibre with HNC/HND, degree or equivalent in a related discipline. They will also have the following skills and attributes: extensive experience within the Construction Industry; excellent inter-personal/communications and negotiation skills;
technical skills and knowledge (comprising construction materials, construction methods and technology, design, environmental legislation and issues, planning techniques, building regulations, procurement, management systems, temporary works, health and safety, risk management, life cycle costings, value engineering and value creation): in return you will be given an excellent basic salary and package within a truly progressive company.
