Job Description
The main purpose of this role is to provide opportunities for programme participants to improve their employability levels through guidance, support and the delivery of structured and/or individually targeted training
Duties will include:
·Develop and deliver a wide range of Jobsearch, soft skills and other training as required to meet the group and individual needs of programme participants
·Provide direction, guidance, support, and assistance to programme participants in matters relating to employability
·Supervise the Career Café Jobsearch facility, providing one-to-one advice and guidance relating to Jobsearch
·Establish and maintain effective relationships with employers, training providers and other key stakeholder groups to supplement in house delivery
·Assist in the co-ordination of the provision of in-work support to programme participants and employers to enhance employment sustainability of participants
·Maintain an up to date working knowledge of the local labour market and relevant support agencies
·Promote and represent the programme and the company to employers, suppliers, at appropriate events, conferences, etc
·To undertake necessary training as identified in appraisals/performance reviews
·To work within the company?s quality framework, ensuring services delivered conform the standards of the framework
·Maintain an appropriate administration system, compliant with the requirements of the programme contract
·Undertake other duties and responsibilities in the service of the programme or the company as directed by the line manager
Essential Skills/Experience required:
·Previous experience of delivering employment focused support and training to unemployed adults, school leavers and labour market returnees
·Ability to develop employment focused training and support programmes
·Ability to communicate at all levels
·Ability to motivate others
·Ability to work to targets and deadlines
·Ability to work with minimum supervision
·Good problem solving skills
.Good local labour market and ancillary support knowledge
·Flexible approach to service delivery
·Able and willing to work outside normal office hours
·Sound understanding of equal opportunities issues
·Good organisational and administration skills
·Good IT skills
·Ability to travel
Desirable:
·Further and Adult Teaching Certificate Stage 2
·Knowledge of government funded employment programmes
·Understanding the nature of disadvantage in the local labour market and the issues that need to be addressed
·Able and willing to work outside normal office hours
Salary £15,500-£18,500
