Job Description

GIS Development Manager
IT services including software development and maintenance support, network administration and help desk operations, data warehousing, geographical information services (GIS), and hardware integration.

The company are seeking a hands-on Project Manager with a broad background in application development and GIS. The position will require the oversight of an enterprise GIS which combines data, ESRI ArcGIS products, Oracle, and spatial and statistical software.

- General project management and customer interfacing
- Maintaining various user applications and extensions
- Maintaining and updating project web site, forums, and web applications
- Systems maintenance
- Supervising technical staff
- Monthly status reports


Background and Experience: (including education, skills, work activities)
(a) Minimum required:
4-6 years application development experience
2-3 years GIS experience including ArcIMS and ArcObjects
Minimum of 1 year project management experience with strong client interaction (2+ years preferred)
Experience in Prince 2
Strong written and oral skills and leading project meetings with client
Ability to work with little direction
Ability to define schedules and goals and work to meet them
Ability to work with a diverse group of developers and analysts
BS in Computer Science, GIS, or related field

Qualifications/Skills Required

GIS, ESRO and Prince 2 Project Management
