We are looking to recruit a Head of Human Resources for our Client - an International Investment Advisor with a long and successful track record for deploying quantitative hedge fund strategies to trade the global financial markets. With offices established in UK and Cyprus the successful candidate will lead the HR team for both countries operations.
Job Purpose:
To manage the HR function throughout the business and deliver best-practice HR solutions, policies and procedures throughout the business.
The Role:
You will be responsible for managing all aspects of HR for the legal entities that make up the organization. You will work with the Directors and Chief Executive Officer to develop and implement the HR strategies. This position is based in Limassol, but will have responsibility for all staff currently in the UK and Cyprus as follows:

Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Recruitment
To review and develop the selection processes and implement recruitment tools that best serve the company's selection requirements. These tools may include skills assessment and psychometrics, amongst others.
To identify requirements for additional headcount/replacements, draft job descriptions and liaise with business functions for authorisation.
To interact with recruitment consultants and monitor their services, to structure offers, and work with local management to close candidates, also advising on non-solicitation, and garden leave issues.

Employee Relations
To manage the remuneration review, staff communications, and management issues.
To also act as a point of contact for the non-executive Directors and fund Directors and their remuneration.
Management of complex, potentially litigious cases.
Daily management of relations issues in line with Company policy, e.g., disciplinary, grievance, appeals, involuntary terminations, long term sickness.
Communication of new employment legislation and requirements for appropriate action where necessary.
Performance and Compensation Management
To organise and drive the annual objectives, teambuilding and planning processes and be responsible for the Performance vs. Objectives Analysis.
Facilitation of annual performance management process – ensuring objective setting, reviews and documentation and on-line information management system.
Management of annual development reviews and analysis of appraisal needs.
Provide advice to management on appropriate compensation.
Participate in the year end compensation planning, and execution.
Qualifications/Skills Required
The ideal candidate would have a postgraduate qualification from Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD) or equivalent and a minimum of 10 years HR experience, of which at least 8 years must be in a management role. Previous experience with a number of International Placements and recruitment in a senior capacity, across a variety of front/ back office and IT positions is essential, whilst experience within financial services is an advantage. The candidate must have people management skills in a cross-cultural environment and be proficient in all Windows applications, particularly databases. You must be a good organiser and negotiator. We are looking for someone who can respond constructively to the needs of an entrepreneurial operation. The successful candidate will be responsible for results in all areas, including projects such as review of maternity policy, staff handbook, HR web site etc.
