Head of Purchasing for a Superior Product Fashion Accessory Company, North West London - Salary 40K - 60K DOE + plus benefits plus bonus

Our client is looking for a Head of Purchasing for a superior product fashion accessory company, whose turnover is nearing the £20m. A purchasing guru who relishes local and worldwide travel. A pre-requisite of this position is to have fashion and retail experience. Each season you will work closely with our client's designers and the factories in costing our client's ranges and determining the weight of our budgeted spend on different stock lines. When final selections are decided you will work with our clients staff of three to ensure comprehensive purchase orders are placed, confirmed and monitored through to timely shipment. You will liaise extensively with the factory on production planning, making sure their capacity and scheduling can deliver our clients goods on time.

10 + years Senior Purchasing. Comprehensive Planning & Systems. Retail/Wholesale Fashion experience is a pre-requisite of this permanent position. You will be a proactive problem solver, anticipating potential pitfalls and mindful of the whole supply chain from the factory through to delivery into our client's customers. Your personality traits of organisation, flexibility and perseverance will be essential in working to satisfy the competing needs of our clients major customers. Above all you will be an outstanding communicator.

You will have spent at least ten years in a senior purchasing role with supervisory responsibilities and be able to demonstrate comprehensive planning and systems experience. Advanced IT skills are essential to the role, as is an ability to work under pressure to strict deadlines.

Experience and Track Record are seen to be more important than formal qualifications. You will need to travel within the UK and occasionally to the Far East.
