As a Graduate Recruitment Consultant, you will be nurtured to become a highly skilled and qualified specialist recruitment professional. You will develop your sales and interpersonal skills, commercial acumen and business credibility as we identify your strengths and fast track your career.

Primary Duties:
The role of a 'Recruitment Consultant' has a holistic meaning within James Harvard. As an established and successful organisation we have built our success on a team based ethos, supporting each other to achieve the company's goals and expansion plans.

On a day to day basis you will work as part of a team involved in all aspects of recruitment. Working in a target driven sales capacity you will liaise between candidates looking for work and clients seeking to employ staff. You will receive one-to-one and group training to perform all of the following recruitment tasks to a high standard:
• Consulting with clients over job descriptions and specifications
• Writing copy and advertising vacancies to attract candidates
• Name-gathering & headhunting potential candidates
• Registering candidates looking for temporary, contract and permanent work
• Searching for and screening candidates for suitable opportunities through the database
• Arranging interviews for candidates with clients
• Providing continual support to clients and candidates throughout the recruitment process
• Offering advice and consultation to candidates and clients on recruitment
• Liaising with existing clients to develop new business

Qualifications/Skills Required

James Harvard looks for the right interpersonal fit for our business above all else. You will be well educated, preferably to degree standard, a pharma-based or biology degree would be extremely useful. You will possess and be able to demonstrate clearly; self confidence, self motivation, determination and ambition to succeed. You must be able to demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with a variety of customers by telephone and face to face. Whilst it is not imperative to have sales experience a persistent and resilient manner is important. Your ambition to succeed in a pressurised and competitive environment must be clearly evident. European language capability is also extremely useful.
