Job Description

Loss Prevention Assistant
An opportunity has arisen for a Loss Prevention Assistant in a well known Brighton Department store.

Essentially this role is to reduce stock loss, protect profits, deter and detect theft whilst delivering a high level of customer service in conjunction with the store loss plan. You will play a very important part within the store team working towards protecting profit and delivering business profitability.

Qualifications/Skills Required

Experience in a similar role within the retail environment is preferred.

We are looking for an individual with strong communication skills who can react quickly to situations; you will be self-motivated and visually alert.

You will be organised and have the ability to use security equipment.

Knowledge of legislation covering theft e.g. PACE would be an advantage.

Our Loss Prevention teams work alongside our Sales teams to ensure our stores; our people and our stock remain safe and secure. They advise on taking a proactive approach to avoiding stock loss and assist in the training of security procedures, so that everyone knows what to do in an emergency.

Responsible for the store opening and closing procedures and emergency call outs, they are also aware of local issues and trends, and relay information to their colleagues in regular briefings. They might be on the sales floor dealing with a customer enquiry or behind the scenes - but their presence means people can work and shop, safe in the knowledge that they are in a secure environment.

Please note: Applications will not be considered from those candidates who are not entitled to work within the UK or the country of the advertised vacancy.
