Job Description

Specific Responsibilities

Fundraising
- As directed by the Director of Fundraising and Communications and the Major Gifts Fundraising Strategy 2005-2008, lead new Major Gifts Campaign with a target of generating an accumulated figure of £4 million in core funds by 2008.
- Manage the Major Gifts team to reach targets
- Manage the Major Gifts Sub Committee/Steering Group which comprises of trustees and high worth contacts
- Lead and manage the writing of reports, proposals and appeal letters
- Lead and manage the production of specific publications relating to major gifts activity
- Be the main point of contact with high worth individuals
- Attend all meetings and conduct presentations as required

Management
1. Line manage 3 staff members providing leadership, support, clear objectives and regular 1:1's and appraisals.

Publications and Communication Outputs
1. To contribute to relevant pages on the website
2. To oversee the management and development of all relevant Major Gifts communication outputs

Departmental Responsibilities
1. To participate in monthly team meetings as directed by the Director of Fundraising and Communications
2. To undertake all other reasonable tasks as commensurate with the post
