Our client endeavours to link the provision of education facilities to outcomes for young people through inspirational design, the inclusion of the 'build phase' in the curriculum and through our Building Awareness campaign.
While their focus is predominately on large-scale complex programmes and frameworks in the PFI and BSF market, notably the Kent Grouped Schools PFI, Bradford BSF Pathfinder and activities of Learning21. Our client is committed to providing the highest quality facilities and environments in the primary, secondary and tertiary sectors where students can excel.
An experienced Quantity Surveyor is required to join this innovative and forward thinking nationwide contractor. This company requires an individual to work on the BSF programme in the Bradford area. Duties on site will include preparing variations, tendering, estimation, claims, monthly valuations and managing jobs through to final account stage.
The initial new build school is only one phase of a large project to improve learning facilities within the area. This will provide the candidate with an ideal opportunity to showcase their abilities; this is an excellent opportunity for advancement for the successful candidate.
Qualifications/Skills Required
The successful candidate will have a degree or equivalent level qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related construction subject and will have a minimum of 8 years construction experience. The ideal candidate will have relevant commercial experience preferably with a contracting organisation.
Successful applicant will have previous work experience of projects worth a minimum of £30 million and the ability to demonstrate an understanding of PFI projects.
