Job Description: Driver/Storeman
Driving duties will include the loading and unloading of vehicles and deliveries and collections to and from suppliers and Venues.
It will also be the drivers' responsibility to make regular checks of the company vehicles and ensure that they are clean and properly maintained.
The Storeman side of the job will encompass the picking/“prepping” of kit for shows and also unpacking/“derigging” of same, along with stock control functions. The loading and unloading of trucks will also be necessary. Personal Protective Equipment will be provided. Training will also be provided, if required, for Forklift Driving.
Work on equipment maintenance could also be expected with appropriate training.
As with all members of staff, keeping of all areas of the Warehouse clean and tidy is expected.
Hours are based around core times of 9am until 5pm. However hours are flexible because of the nature of the business and weekend work is also likely. There will be early starts and late finishes. The applicant will therefore need to be flexible over working hours and it is critical that they can be relied on to make required deadlines on time.
A good knowledge of the London area would be useful but is not essential.
The applicant will need to be numerate and have legible handwriting and should also be physically fit. The applicant should also be over 25 preferably with a clean driving license and have some van driving experience.
Overtime is paid at time from 7am until 9pm and @ time and a half from 9pm until 7am
