Service Engineer
Responsibilities:
" As a Service Engineer you will be responsible for maintaining company software products and their high quality throughout the post-release life cycle.
" With direct contact to our major customers you are expected to provide a high level of quality and customer satisfaction.
" Analyse, isolate and resolve problems within complex enterprise network environments using strong problem-solving skills, technical knowledge and solid experience.
" Using advanced debugging skills, provide timely and accurate resolutions for reported bugs.
" Demonstrate outstanding performance by either working independently or leading a mission team. A mission team can be cross-functional so the ability to deal with stress and deal with problems under complex situations is critical.
Qualifications/Skills Required
" Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related subject.
" Minimum 5 years experience gained in a post sales or customer support function within a software development company.
" Excellent knowledge of Windows environment
" Knowledge of Unix/Linux would be also advantageous
" Previous experience of C, C++
" Experience of JAVA programming would be advantageous
" Ability to communicate fluently in English. German language skills would be advantageous
" Strong interpersonal skills with the ability and confidence to communicate effectively at all levels both face to face and on the phone
" Be ready, willing and able to show initiative and to work independently when required
" A working knowledge of Win32, Object-Orientated programming, multi-threaded programming and network/distributed programming would be advantageous
" Knowledge of anti-virus software would be advantageous
