Job Description
Our client is an investment advisor, deploying quantitative hedge fund strategies to trade the global financial markets, with a long and successful track record. Our client's offices are established in the UK and Cyprus (Limassol). The company is registered as an investment advisor with the US Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC), is authorised and regulated by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC), and is a member of the US National Futures Association (NFA).
The Role
The successful candidate will report to the Chief Accountant and will be undertaking a number of operational accounting functions including:
Preparation of monthly management accounts and quarterly consolidation for the Group
Manage corporate relationships with banking institutions and other key service providers such as auditors. Coordinate efforts for year-end audit and tax return preparation.
Submission of VAT and other accounting regulatory filings
Assist in the preparation of budgets and cash flows
In addition, to manage the accounts administration including:
Recording of transactions on the accounting system
Reconciliation of invoices to agreements with associates and purchase orders
Reconciliation of supplier and bak accounts
Intra-group reconciliations
Administration of payments ot suppliers, and issue of invoices and receipts from customers
Maintain the company Petty Cash system and the fixed asset register
Qualifications/Skills Required
The Individual
This is an ideal position for an accountant with the following professional profile:
At least 3 years experience in an accounting role, covering the above responsibilities;
ACCA semi qualified or newly qualified;
Trustworthy, reliable, dynamic, discreet with the ability to work under substantial pressure;
Good written and oral communication skills, as well as strong organisational skills;
Be accurate and focused with attention to detail;
Be flexible in outlook and approach;
Very good proficiency in English, knowledge of Greek Language will be an advantageous
Proficiency in accounting systems (SAGE or equivalent) a requirement;
Computer literate and well skilled in windows platforms and MS office applications.
