Job Description
Action Point Assisstnat required for a 6 month contract 18 hours per week
Answer enquiries made by customers in person, by telephone, by letter and electronically. Refer customers to the appropriate source of information and/or to senior staff as required.
Provide a council leaflet/information collection and distribution resource to the Action Point service.
Collect statistics and performance data for the Action Point at that site for Senior Officers.
Provide a reception facility for the Town Hall complex, referring visitors and tradesmen to the appropriate officers and location.
Assist with the preparation, display and arrangement of information to meet the needs of customers on site. File and maintain information in good order.
Use GEAC PLUS, infoLINK and all other databases/information in all formats for enquiry work and assisting customers as required.
Ensure that customer services policies are implemented correctly.
Assist senior staff in the promotion of Action Point and the information service.
Be aware of the regulations concerning Health & Safety and observe Codes of practice on site.
Take in money for a range of transactions, giving change and receipts as required. Use cash tills as required.
Assist with the development and implementation of income generating projects.
