Job Description
We are currently looking for two energetic and resourceful individuals to join the Archaeological section of the busy Environmental Assessment Group based in our Cheshire office. A range of services that the archaeology and cultural heritage department provide include:
Desk-based and environmental impact assessment
Planning advice
Mitigation strategies
Heritage management
The successful candidates will have the opportunity to be involved in a diverse range of EIA projects and develop the work of the Archaeology section.
You must have a good understanding of British Archaeology its structure, legislation, standards and survey techniques. You will need proven fieldwork experience and a track record in desk-based assessment and reporting, management of archaeological projects, financial management and the preparation of specifications and tenders. You must be prepared to travel and work away from home as project work dictates.
Qualifications/Skills Required
You should have a good degree in archaeology, a post-graduate qualification and at least 5 years post-graduate experience. Membership of the IFA (MIFA) is essential. A specialism would be advantageous e.g. aerial photography, geophysical survey or building recording etc.
