Job Description
Our clients Oman office has a thriving Litigation practice turning over around £1m annually. Headed by an Omani Partner, there are two senior UK-qualified Solicitors and a further four Assistants, two of whom are Sudanese Litigators and two Omani Assistants.
We are looking for a further Western-trained and preferably UK-qualified Assistant Solicitor whose mother tongue is Arabic and who will be comfortable in undertaking research and drafting submissions in Arabic, as well as attending and addressing the Omani Courts in Arabic.
The practice covers a wide range of commercial disputes for a mix of international and local clients. The practice also has a strong focus on labour law.
The successful candidate will be technically competent and used to providing clients with a high level of cost-effective services including keeping them informed of the progress of cases through the Omani Court system.
In order to qualify for advocacy rights in the Omani Courts, non-Omani advocates should have at least 7 years' experience in a law firm.
