This is a brand new office set up in York, which is a result of continued success of the rail team in Leeds, currently made up of 5 technical staff with support from two rail teams in the North West.
An Associate / Principal Rail Engineer is required to join a team of multi-disciplinary Rail Engineers. Reporting directly to the Associate Director you will be responsible for the recruitment of other staff for the new office and will be involved with the growth, leadership and development of the team. The York office has been set up as a result of a growing order book both in the UK and internationally.
Qualifications/Skills Required
To apply for the position of Associate / Principal Rail Engineer you should be a Chartered Engineer through the Institute of Civil Engineers or another relevant professional institution. You must have a thorough appreciation of the main railway skills (permanent way, signalling, OHLE and operations) and your technical expertise should ideally lie within one of these skills. You should be familiar with all project stages from concept through to commissioning and be able to draw on this experience to produce challenging, innovative designs. You should also have an appreciation of the environmental, cost and safety impacts of your design decisions.
