Job Description
Key Purpose
This is a key position for which the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent skills in communication with both internal and external customers and suppliers. To maintain high standard of service in line with company procedures and objectives, and the delivery of comprehensive working solutions within a time-critical 24 hour / 7 day environment. Shift hours 7.5 per night which vary within a time frame from 0900 – 1730 hours Monday to Friday and requires flexibility.
Most importantly we are looking for someone with freight forwarding experience in air freight.
Shift hours are 9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday.
Profile
Applicants should ideally be / have:
·A strong, dynamic and creative team player providing focus at all times on the highest levels of customer service with the ability to take initiative and make decisions as and when required
·Experience in transportation and general freight forwarding
·Ensure timely & accurate input of export/import data and production of documentation maintaining full shipment and document accountability.
·Flexible approach to working hours to include working shifts and some bank holidays, providing cover for any activity peaks in operation.
·Familiarity with ISO and other Quality programs and requirements
·Ability to work on own initiative, within a team and across functions.
·Experience in current business computing applications (including Word, Excel, Outlook)
Fluency in English is essential (other languages an asset).
