Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Housing Benefit Customer Service Officers who can deal with all types of housing benefit claims using the I-world system.
First point of contact for customers enquiring about HB/CTB. The staff here will need good basic knowledge of HB/CTB. They will need to be able to do the following:
Answer questions about the calculation of the customer's claim
Explain the notification letter
Advise about overpayments
Obtain evidence from customers of their income, rent, etc. In many Local Authorities (LA) they will need to adhere to the Verification Framework (VF). This would mean confirming that they have seen original documents such as passport, tenancy agreement, wage slips, bank statements, etc.
Deal with a range of customers
Use the I-world benefits computer system to extract / input information
