Job Description

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

• Co-ordination, delegation of tasks & scheduling of all statistical activities within the department
• Management & development of personnel, resources & of business interests for the statistics group under his/her direction
• Preparing long range plans for the statistics group’s activities
• Ensuring adequate facilities & personnel exist
• Managing the selection & implementation of new software systems
• For joint projects, ensuring liaison with scientific/clinical personnel
• Ensuring regular information & feedback is provided to clients on projects being conducted
• Providing specialist advice, opinions & information to others & to clients
• Assisting in the preparation of publicity material for the Group
• Assisting in the preparation of budgets & financial targets
• Acting as Project Manager for projects relating to the data management & statistical analysis of Phase I/IV clinical and non-clinical studies

Qualifications/Skills Required

MSc in Statistics or Mathematics
6 yrs work experience of clinical trials within a senior statistician position
2 yrs line management experience
Project management skills
Ability to meet conflicting deadlines
Excellent communication & presentation skills
