POSITION: BIOLOGICAL QUALITY ASSURANCE TECHICIAN

DEPARTMENT: BIOLOGICAL QUALITY ASSURANCE

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The primary purpose of this position is to perform a variety of task including microbiology and environmental to confirm the quality of products at ImmucorGamma.

RESPONSIBLITIES:

o Performs environmental sampling of controlled environments.
o Incubate, read and record results from an environmental sampling.
o Perform culturing on environmental product.
o Incubate, read and record results of cultures.
o Perform data entry.
o Perform calculations as needed.
o Order laboratory supplies.
o Maintain a clean and organized working environment.
o Performs other duties as assigned per the BQA Manager and/or Supervisor.

Qualifications/Skills Required

REQUIRMENTS:

o High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
o Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, percent, draw and interpret graphs.
o Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
o Ability to work independently as well as in a group setting.
o Good manual dexterity, proofreading skills, good organizational skills, reading and comprehensive skills, and very good detailed skills.
o Must be available to work weekends.
