Job Description

In order insure the success of a major project, our client are in search of a talented and experienced Senior Architect to lead the Development and Technical Architecture team.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for participating in the definition and design of the company's Web Technology architecture, with a focus on application development technologies. This includes the design and development of the Web Technology roadmap and the recommendation and approval of IT standards for hardware, software, and network technologies. The selected individual will be involved in technical reviews of applications developed based on the defined roadmap. This individual serves as a liaison between the infrastructure and development teams and acts as a technology consultant to these areas

Qualifications & Requirements:

* Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field of study required; Masters Degree preferred.
* 7+ years experience in Information Technology.
* In depth knowledge and experience in several of the following technologies: Java/J2EE, COM+, ASP, Visual Basic, .NET, C/C++, RDBMS, MS SQL, Oracle, DB2, Unix, WinTel, IBM Mainframe, Scripting, Internet Technologies, IBM WebSphere Suite (Hosted on mainframe a plus), SOAP, XML
* Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
* Strong presentation skills required.
* Medical or pharmaceutical background a plus.
