Barker & Tate Executive Search and Talent Management are excited to be recruiting for one of the world’s leading companies involved in the supply and synchronisation of data within the supply chain. Due to our newest client’s rapid growth, the need has arisen for a Business Development Manager to join the current team and capitalise on the demand for their products and services.
Reporting to the Sales Director, the successful individual will be integral to the growth of the organisation across Europe and within the UK. He/she will be responsible for developing new and existing revenue streams through effective account management and new business development across a number of sectors.
The fundamentals of the role are to sell Master Data solutions to newly identified target organisations whilst maximising revenue from existing accounts. This will be done via the introduction of new services and/or changes to current data plans in place.
The successful candidate will be results orientated, possessing a history of sales over-achievement ideally from within the data synchronisation industry. Knowledge of selling into the supply chain of retailers could also be advantageous.
Preference will be given to candidates who possess the following qualities:
• Successful sales track record covering both New Business and Account Management.
• Ability to apply positive thinking in the identification and development of business opportunities.
• Solution-selling expertise would be advantageous.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Additional European linguistic skills are encouraged.
• Knowledge of the Data Synchronisation industry is desirable.
• Knowledge of the Retail Supply Chain or related market is desirable.
In return for this our client offers an exceptional salary package with a basic salary of £45,000 to £55,000 + bonus and benefits (full details and job specification available on application). The position will be home-based, thus carrying a large amount of autonomy that one would expect in such a critical role as this.
