MSB Supply Chain Management, a specialist recruitment company in the field of procurement have a position for a buyer for an exciting engineering company.
Responsible for the sourcing and supply of any components required by the customer to ensure target delivery dates are met or bettered whilst still ensuring quality and price targets are maintained
· Total resposibility for parts supply
· Accurate sourcing of components to market leading global suppliers to ensure 'right first time' whilst achieving best possible value for money
· Proactive approach to parts release to allow involvement of suppliers at the earliest possible stage, to ensure shortest possible lead times
· Ensure the most efficient methods of manufacture are available
· Direct involvement with project management to achieve objectives
· Maintain ethical and professional purchasing standards
· Conduct price negotiations based on 'long-term' supply agreements. Estimation of engine BOM costs during project quotation phase to ensure accurate costings are available to project management team.
· 3 years experience of sourcing engine components years of sourcing in a low/medium-volume/high complexity environment
· Flexibility to take on a broad range of responsibility whilst working in a new and rapidly growing part of the business
· Dynamic and assertive personality with a positive attitude under pressure
