Job Description

A global manufacturing company are currently seeking a skilled Buyer. The successful candidate will join the flourishing purchasing division and be part of the team to assist in cost reduction, sourcing and development. The main responsibilities will be:

- Manage existing supplier relationships.
- Sourcing new suppliers
- Purchasing of raw materials, e.g. glass, plastics, other raw components
- Interface with engineering division
- Implementing purchasing procedures

The successful candidate will therefore have at least 3 years purchasing experience working within an engineering/manufacturing company, be a self-starter, confident in dealing with various international suppliers and be pro-active in striving for results. Strong negotiation skills are a must as are good interpersonal skills to establish effective supplier working relationships both internally and with external suppliers.
