MSB Supply Chain on behalf of their global retail company are looking for a buyer with retail or FMCG experience. Description Maintain stock and purchases to achieve defined inventory turns and service levels, of customer defined product portfolio · Manage purchase orders and reorder levels for all products appropriate to programme forecast/service agreements · Expedite PO deliveries to maintain product supply appropriate to demand · Manage scheduled orders and special purchases to meet JIT supply · Manage phase-in, phase-out, and special project purchase requirements to maximise service but minimise excess product · Monitor inventory & supplier performance for review with programme manager · Implement and support supply chain improvement processes including price, part number, and supplier reduction programmes SKILL/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE · 3+ years purchasing experience in a contracting, distribution or manufacturing environment. Specific areas of experience will ideally include… Vendor Managed Inventory Contract supply planning/scheduling Managed Supply Chain including vendor performance review measurement · Excellent numerical and analytical skills · Good communication and problem solving skills · Ability to work on own initiative · Ability to work as part of an extended virtual team · Good working knowledge of Microsoft software tools e.g. Excel, Access and Word
