Job Description
Interesting opportunity to work as a Buyer for a well established Pharmaceutical wholesaler from there offices in South East London. Ideal candidates for this position will have at least 3 years of relevant experience within Pharmaceutical Buying and be working towards/already achieved CIPS (Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply) accreditation. Knowledge of the workings of the pharmaceutical price regulation scheme is essential, as they are quite complex. Candidates must be comfortable with working with a large amount of stock lines (approx 5000). Daily responsibilities will include general updating of the pharmacy purchasing and stock control system, resolving customer problems in a efficient and professional manner, regular negotiations with existing suppliers, evaluating and current and prospective suppliers, attending regular meetings to provide statistical information to management and forming close relationships with the Quality Assurance team.
