Job Description
A global manufacturing company based in West London are eagerly seeking a skilled Buyer/Procurement Account Manager to join the purchasing team. Working along side the Senior Buyer and Purchasing Manager the candidate will be responsible for:
-Providing account management to particular supplier accounts
-Analysing current purchasing strategies and implementing changes
-Supporting company bid management
-Working with Junior staff to ensure that purchasing methods & strategies are followed.
- Support third party audit activities
The above is a large segment of the role along with many other duties to improve the current purchasing methods. Therefore the ideal candidate will have:
- A minimum of 5 years purchasing experience within a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of mechanical engineering or experience of working within such environment
- Excellent experience of MRP 2 & ERP systems
- Proven track record of implementing purchasing procedures and able to work with others
- Must be willing to travel within the UK and abroad
