Job Description
A large luxury hotel in North Devon is looking for a Sous Chef to join thier brigade. This hotel boast stunning surroundings and a spa and sauna area. It also has 2 eateries one serving a relaxed brasserie style menu and a restaurant serving a mouthwatering plate du jour and a la carte menu. The role of Sosu Chef is an essential position in the kitchen; supporting the head chef, able and confident in many sections of the kitchen. The job holder will need to be aware of health and safety and portion and wastage control. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, dynamic and passionate. They will be responsible for the preparation and cooking of food whilst maintaining a clean safe and tidy work environment. The applicant must be a team player as well as showing their own initiative, ideally with relevant food hygiene and C & G 706/1 & 706/2 or equivalent.
