Job Description

This highly respected global CRO is seeking a Chief Scientific Officer to work in its New York offices and report directly to the divisional president.

This will be a strategic role involving:
• The management of an internal team of 2/3 scientific affairs group
• Coordination & interaction with an external group of medical consultants
• Active involvement in business development & client meetings
• Assisting/training Project Managers in technical area

The ideal candidate will have 8-10 years post qualification experience, at least 3/4 years experience in a CRO/Pharma company and be a medic/qualified to PhD level.

The applicant will also have:
• Excellent presentation and communication skills
• Previous people management experience
• A keen interest in laboratory science is essential

The role would be ideal for someone looking for a step up from Clinical Physician role or Senior PM.

Qualifications/Skills Required

• 8-10 years post qualification experience
• 3/4 years experience in a CRO/Pharma company
• Medic/qualified to PhD level
• Experience of working in a global organisation, some previous business development/client liaison an advantage.
