Job Description

Commercial and Risk Manager
Commercial and Rick Manager required to advise on the Commercial Risk elements of contracts from tenders or renewals. To ensure that the Company carries out its commercial operations in accordance with the law, company procedures and prescribed authorities.
To maintain a register of the current commercial, financial and operational risks

Duties:
Manage and develop company commercial activities and ensure a standardised process is followed.
Advise Operations Directors, also MD and FD where appropriate, of the risk assessment of the commercial aspects of all enquiries prior to submission of a tender.
Evaluate disputes, manage claims for loss and expense reimbursement
To advise on all contractual issues.

Responsibilities:
To ensure that Contract documentation complies with Company processes
To ensure that a complete set of original Contract documents is kept including enquiry, estimate approvals, contract, insurance documents, bonds and warranty documents where applicable.
To ensure that Sub Contract orders and terms and conditions reflect the obligations of the main contract.
Negotiate with customers to reach agreement where their terms and conditions are in conflict with our own or otherwise unacceptable.

You will posses the following skills:
Contract Law
financial Risk analysis
Commercial Risk analysis
Negotiation skills
Understanding of Building Technical Services
Business planning and report writing

With knowledge of:
Broad knowledge of Contractual process management through a progressive career path
Familiar with standard forms of contract used in contracting and sub-contracting
Risk management, financial, commercial and operational
Claims Management and increased cost analysis
Sub-contract administration
Corporate goverance experience

Personal Attributes:
Excellent Communicator, written and oral
Good team skills
Good personal presentation
High personal integrity
Able to conduct meetings in a professional and diligent manner
Able to drive and travel in the UK
Qualified either formally or substantial commercial experience for a role of this type.

Qualifications/Skills Required

Batchelors Degree
