Job Description
This role is based in the South of England working for a major player within the travel industry, your main responsibilities as Commercial Manager are -
- Commercial analysis & decision management. You will be required to use several of the business' MIS to ensure that the correct mix and profitability is being achieved through both on and off-line channels, and construct plans to rectify any significant variances.
- Manage & implement promotional booking incentives. Use a new promotions system to drive profitable, incremental bookings through the issuance of incentive eVouchers to customers. You will be responsible for the framework of each scheme, ensuring that dilution is kept to a minimum and that all significant learnings are applied to future schemes and promotions.
- Use sophisticated web-based MI to understand key drivers of customer behaviors, price sensitivity and elasticity. You will be required to input this information into the pricing process for flights, hotels and other core redemption products and recommend actions to increase redemption profitability.
- Provide incidental commercial support & sales analysis across teams & departments as required, but particularly within the Travel Products & Purchasing division and the On-line Team.

- Demonstrable commercial acumen, with the ability to see and manage the balance between both long and short-term profitability.
- Excellent customer awareness, with relevant experience in travel or a service-oriented industry.
- Ability and desire to meet commitments and keen to use own initiative.
- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate confidently and effectively with staff at all levels around the company.
