Job Description
The work of the group is varied and accordingly any successful applicant (bearing in mind their relative seniority) will need the following skills:
1.Good in-depth knowledge of commercial property and related law : ideally including experience in one of the following areas:
Property Development
Projects e.g. LIFT
Property Finance/Real Estate
2. Experience in the drafting of high value property contracts and contract negotiation.
3. The ability to lead or begin to take the lead on transactions unsupervised, involving not only coordinating other fee earners from within the group, but also liaising and coordinating with fee earners from other relevant disciplines.
4.The ability to contribute to the general upkeep of the group (whether that be to training, precedents, or know-how generally)
5.A proven record of a high standard of client care for existing clients at the highest level
6. The ability to win clients, the enthusiasm to market to them etc.
7. Good sense of humour and the ability to fit into a team based environment.
The role will operate principally within one of these key areas but there is also likely to be the opportunity to be involved in broader commercial property work. Our client has a strong reputation for providing Associates with early levels of responsibility within a supportive, stretching environment and so anyone taking up these roles can expect to have a significant part in leading projects for major blue-chip clients including the likes of those listed on the attached Key Deals brochure.
The successful candidate will have:
Excellent academic achievement
Sound commercial property experience gained within a recognised property environment likely but not exclusively to be within a large or mid-tier firm
Strong commercial awareness
Proven team working
Excellent prospects exist within these roles and with the firm as a whole.
