Job Description

Overall Job Purpose:
Support network development by managing and addressing concerns expressed by the public, the media and politicians over potential health and environmental effects of mobile phone base stations.

Responsibilities:
1. Hold meetings and make presentations to stakeholders concerned about the potential health effects and environmental impacts of mobile phone base stations.
2. Respond to enquiries from the public and the press and act as a media spokesman.
3. Develop and maintain detailed understanding of health and safety issues in order to provide current and best advice.

Experience Required:
1. 5 years' public relations/communications experience
2. Media relations
3. Strong writing skills
4. UK Driving license

Desirable
1. Experience in risk communication/issues management
2. Background in telecoms or other sector with significant interaction with planning authorities
3. Government relations
