CONFERENCE CONSULTANT - NEAR SOUTHAMPTON
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Conference Consultant to join a top venue search and event management company based in Southampton working in their conferences department. You will be an experienced in conference consultant or have events or a venue finding background, exceptional communication skills and a good eye for detail. This is an ideal opportunity for a proactive individual who wishes to progress within the Conference and Venue industry.
The Role:
· To support the Consultant Supervisor in booking all conferences/meetings.
· To contact sourced venues and negotiate rates, check commission and send proposals.
· Attend familiarisation trips to hotels and venues to increase venue knowledge.
The ideal Candidate:
· You will be an outgoing and confident individual with a minimum of 1 year's event co-ordinating or venue finding experience.
· You will have an excellent telephone manner and posses good interpersonal skills.
· You will need to be computer literate with a working knowledge of Word & Excel.
· Good problem solving skills and the ability to work on your own initiative.
