Job Description
• The Configuration Controller will provide day-to-day through life configuration support at project level, following current Operating Procedures and the project Configuration and Document Management Plans.
• The Configuration Controller will maintain the Configuration Status Record for specific projects, liaising with Configuration Specialists, the Design Office, Engineers, Integrated Logistic Support and any Project OR Controllers to update the Configuration Status Record of Configuration Items.
• The Configuration Controller will administer the Change Control process, providing assistance to engineers in the raising of ORs and Change Notes, and ensuring they are distributed and actioned in a timely manner.
• The Configuration Controller will ensure change implementation on Configuration Items is in accordance with the sentencing of the Configuration Review Board, seeking advice from Configuration Specialists where necessary.
• The Configuration Controller will administer the identification and tasking of activities to permit co-ordination of the issue and storage of material through the Configuration Administration Group.
• Supply input to the Configuration Specialist configuration and change control issues, for presenting at Configuration Management Team meetings
• Provide configuration support and guidance to projects
• Provide input into configuration proposals and cost estimates
• Work within guidelines of Configuration and Document Management Plans
• Day-to-day maintenance of the Configuration Status Record, and management of the change control process on nominated projects
• Attendance at Project Review meetings and reporting on Configuration and Change Control issues
• Perform Configuration audits in accordance with Configuration Specialist requests
Qualifications/Skills Required
HND or equivalent in engineering discipline
Configuration Control experience
