Job Description
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Consultant/Engineer to join the Land Quality and
Development Team. The post will provide considerable potential career progression prospects. The candidate ideally should have at least two years experience gained with the contaminated land sector, and possess a first degree in Civil Engineering, Engineering
Geology or similar with an Environmental basis, a post graduate qualification specific to the environmental sector would be an added advantage.
The successful candidate would need to demonstrate a track record of undertaking Phase I
Desk Studies, Phase II Geo-environmental Investigations and Remediation Technology
associated with the assessment and development of Brownfield sites. The successful
candidate should also be able to demonstrate a broad base of technical knowledge and
understanding of legislative requirements with regards to the environmental sector.
Good communication skills will also be essential, both written and verbal together with the
ability to draft interpretative reports which are focussed on the clients needs. Experience of
other environmental sectors or additional specialist skills would be an added advantage
including Risk Assessment, Geotechnics, Due Diligence, Environmental Risk Assessment
and Remediation. The position would report to the Leeds Principal Engineer.
Qualifications/Skills Required
