Job Description
Manage a small team of technicians and engineers to maintain and improve the instrumentation, control and electrical assets.
Must have 3 years operational experience on a major hazard chemical plant,with direct experience of control and electrical engineering maintenance work.
The candidate should also have several years experience of the key aspects of project engineering (i.e. planning, design, specification, cost control, installation and commissioning).
The role requires competency in the assessment, installation and maintenance of safety instrumented systems and of electrical / instrument systems installed in potentially flammable atmospheres.
Ideally, the candidate will have hands-on experience of the installation and programming of complex DCS and PLC systems.
Candidates must be able to self manage, communicate, lead and influence others.
Qualifications/Skills Required
Qualified to degree level or equivalent in control and/or electrical engineering. Ideally, a Chartered Engineer or working towards Chartered status.
