Job Description

Corporate Partnerships Manager
Skills
• Ability to make clear, compelling presentations to varying audiences
• Ability to prioritise effectively and work on own initiative
• Computer literate, including knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets & databases
• Good team player with a flexible approach to work
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
• Good research skills, pays attention to detail
• Ability to identify and develop fundraising opportunities
• Strong negotiation and influencing skills
• Excellent networking and relationship building skills
• Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
• Highly self-motivated and enthusiastic
• Ability to develop effective working relationships at all levels both within & outside the organisation
• Ability to think strategically in maximising opportunities for income
• Ability to manage several projects simultaneously and bring each to fruition on time.
• Able to think laterally and produce original approaches
• Results-oriented

Experience

Essential:

• Proven track record, with a minimum 2 years experience of successful corporate fundraising for charities or directly transferable marketing experience
• Ability to devise and effectively implement a strategic and operational plan for corporate fundraising which will maximise net income from companies
• Hands-on experience or detailed understanding of the following areas;
- Employee Fundraising
- Corporate Philanthropy
- Sponsorship
- Payroll Giving
- Cause Related Marketing
- Gifts in Kind
- Charity of the Year
• Account management of corporate partnerships
• Proven experience of winning new corporate business partners in a challenging environment
• Excellent analytical skills with an ability to evaluate corporate fundraising opportunities and existing partnerships in order to identify genuine and viable projects
• Ability to negotiate fundraising partnerships to secure maximum advantage for the charity
• Excellent interpersonal and diplomatic skills with the maturity and ability to communicate on a one-to-one basis both verbally and in writing at a senior level


Desirable:

• Experience of developing fundraising strategy
• Experience of financial planning and control with ability to prepare, monitor and forecast on income and expenditure budgets
• Wide range of relevant contacts
• Strong organisation and administrative skills.
• Creative, with the ability to think laterally.
• Ability to stay focused under pressure
