Job Description

Customer Service Representative
Summary of Position

We currently have a position for a Customer Service Representative to take responsibility for developing and maintaining excellent customer service relations between our client and their clients.

Working side by side with the Customer Account Management Team in a challenging environment, this key position involves receiving inbound calls from wholesale and retail establishments within the Pet Care sector. Your role will be to act as the primary point of contact, providing solutions to queries as well as providing administrative support and customer service support to the Sales team. Where business needs dictate you will also be responsible for making some out-bound calls, including sales and motivational calls.

Responsibilities (This list is not exhaustive but is intended to provide a summary of the requirements of the role)

Conduct relationship-based selling by using non-scripted probing techniques to determine customer needs and to offer the most appropriate product or service to address their needs
Confirm customer understanding and provide additional customer education as needed
Prepare complete and accurate work and update customer record on system
Communicate effectively with individuals/teams in the program to ensure high quality and timely expedition of customer requests
Maintain broad an in-depth knowledge of products, pricing, promotions, procedures through management communications, meetings and formal training
Supportive to other team members
Processing orders
General administrative duties

Extensive product knowledge (training provided)

Ability to juggle multiple tasks
Problem solving and judgement
Experience of Lotus Notes, MS Word and Excel would be advantageous
Previous Business to Business calling experience is preferred

Ability to work alone as well as part of a team
Accurate with data capture
Good PC skills
Demonstrates logical thought and common sense
