This busy local authority has a wide property portfolio spread throughout the region and encompasses towns, villages and rural areas offering a mix of property types and ages.

Within 10 minutes drive of the M62, they are well located roughly halfway between Leeds and Manchester offering a pleasurable alternative to commuting to either city.

An Electrical Clerk of Works is being sought on a freelance basis to start an initial 3 month contract at the end of July.

You will be inspecting the work of contractors on a range of schemes including schools, leisure centres and offices throughout the Huddersfield region.

Qualifications/Skills Required

This is a typical Electrical Clerk of Works post in that you will ideally have progressed from the tools in to site supervision before becoming a Clerk of Works. Membership of the institute is not essential, but it is critical that you have fulfilled a similar position within the last 5 years taking responsibility for auditing the work of Electrical contractors.

You will need to be qualified to a minimum of 16th edition and be able to demonstrate a strong knowledge of the regulations. As this is a multi-site role, it is important that you have a driving license and your own transport.
