This large local authority is responsible for a considerable portfolio of schools, leisure facilities, libraries and other public buildings ranging from those built within the last 5 years to meticulously maintained properties dating from the Victorian era.

There is a great deal of pride in the region and this is reflected by the standards that the authority achieves with the upkeep of their buildings and infrastructure.

An Electrical Surveyor is being sought on a freelance basis to start an initial 5 month contract from mid July.

You will be inspecting the electrical services within primarily schools buildings throughout the West Yorkshire region.

Qualifications/Skills Required

In this Electrical Surveyor you will ideally have progressed from the tools in to site supervision before becoming a Clerk of Works or Surveyor.

It is critical that you have fulfilled a similar position within the last 5 years taking responsibility for auditing sites and making assessments regarding the Electrical installations within large properties. You will also be working with head teachers and contractors providing them advice with complex or hard to solve issues.

You will need to be qualified to a minimum of 16th edition and be able to demonstrate a strong knowledge of the regulations. As this is a multi-site role, it is important that you have a driving license and your own transport.
