Job Description
An experienced engineer with working knowledge of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) is required by this leading rail company. The role is to support the application of systems engineering philosophies to a range of refurbishment projects by assessing and promoting assurance of EMC in the design, test, installation and commissioning of equipment and systems. Duties include: monitoring the application of legislative framework and mandatory Standard for EMC to works carried out in various projects; developing procedures and practices to ensure that EMC is addressed and realized for complete project lifecycles; assisting in the management of technician grade staff and trainees; working with equivalent staff – internally, externally and in LUL.
Skills & qualifications:
Technical degree
Minimum of 3 years experience
Detailed knowledge of EMC disciplines and working knowledge of areas such as human factors and systems engineering.
Computer literacy in standard office packages, working knowledge of tools for requirements management, circuit analysis, fault tree and reliability analysis.
Broad knowledge of railway operations and related procedures.
