This company is a relatively new, but rapidly expanding construction services company based in Wakefield, operating nationwide and in Ireland, specialising in the field of Building Regulations compliance and in particular Energy Efficiency. Having quickly established an outstanding reputation, they have expanded the scope of their services to include a wide range of contracting services, air, acoustic and thermal compliance testing, architectural design consultation, energy rating calculations, energy related product sales, equipment calibration and training services.
Their contracting business provide all forms of passive fire protection, acoustic barriers and air sealing on all types and sizes of buildings. This is a profitable company consistently growing month on month and seeking to strengthen their commercial and operational teams.
As Energy Assessor you will have the opportunity to work on either an ad hoc basis, full time freelance or full time permanent basis with this busy company.
Depending on your certification, expertise and interest you will be carrying out surveys and writing reports for commercial and residential buildings. It essential that you have used SBEM software or at least have completed training in its use.
The role will require you to visit site, conduct a survey of the plant and equipment as well as gather usage information.
You will then produce your report in accordance with national guidelines and standards.
Qualifications/Skills Required
To work as an Energy Assessor for this organisation it is required that you have a high level of buildings knowledge either from working as a Building Surveyor or Building Services Engineer. You must also have at least received SBEM training and ideally used it within a "live" environment".
If you have already undergone training for the Home Information Packs, this will be useful, but is by no means essential.
You must have a driving license and if seeking to work on an ad hoc or freelance basis, your own vehicle.
