About Weifang:
Teaching in Weifang offers a truly unique experience. With a population of 8.5 million, Weifang is considered a “small” Chinese city. This provides the foreigners here the balance of getting an authentic Chinese experience (which many foreigners in larger cities miss out on) while offering many of the comforts one expects from a developed city. The people of Weifang are almost shockingly honest and trustworthy (with few exceptions) and not to mention genuinely friendly to foreigners. It is our belief that anyone with an open heart to learn about other cultures and an adventurous spirit will find the city of Weifang to be as charming as our current and previous foreign employees have. Furthermore, although there are other foreigners in Weifang and English speaking coworkers, the relative smallness of the city provides you with a much greater opportunity to truly learn Mandarin, which can be difficult in large cities with English at every turn.
Working for CIBT truly was a rewarding experience. I had the flexibility to choose which classes to teach, and I also had time to discover China and travel around to many different cities. The company also provided me with some generous benefits, such as a fully furnished apartment and maid. Working with my fellow Chinese co-workers and teachers has been a pleasure, and I have developed many long-lasting friendships with them.
