Job Description
Our cambridge based client is seeking a proficient and experienced administrator to ensure the smooth running of its client-facing and in-company event activities.
Our client's activities encompass industrial services, research, education and courses that aim to provide a clear understanding of the challenges facing manufacturing today.
Main duties/responsibilities will include:
* Supporting the Events Managers in the preparation and execution of public courses, workshops, conferences and executive education and in-company training. The programme for the current year includes around 60 events, attracting 1,500 participants.
* Working with the Event Managers, developing events by conducting research into possible content and speakers for events, and marketing channels.
* Managing the evening workshop series of events.
* Managing the registration of delegates for events including preparation of delegate material.
* Providing administrative support to the Event team.
Experience of event management would be useful but is not essential. Applicants must also be willing to work unsociable hours when required by events.
Skills/Experience required:
* A systematic approach to work, coupled with excellent attention to detail
* Excellent time management
* Experience of both client-facing and internal administration
* Experience of a busy work environment where multi-tasking and working to strict deadlines is the norm
