Job Description
My London based rail client requires an experienced Facilities Manager or Maintenance Manager to direct and control station maintenance operations to ensure contract services are meeting operational needs in a safe, cost effective reliable manner.
Main duties will include:
• Developing strategic solutions that support future operational and financial needs of the business
• Develop professional and technical staff to deliver a co-ordinated maintenance response
• Develop Asset Maintenance Management plans describing how to deliver the whole capability from the assets
• Formulate budgets for maintenance activities and exercise budgetary control in respect of all services provided
• Develop, establish and maintain an inspection programme to ensure compliance to the performance specifications, standards and asset performance requirements.
• Creating an environment for the enhancement of customer relationships through timely and diplomatic response whilst ensuring strong working relationships.
Required skills:
• 5 – 10 years relevant operational or engineering management experience
• High level of acumen in a business and engineering environment, relating to maintenance or project works
• Professional qualification in engineering, business management, or equivalent
• Experience and appreciation of specification, commissioning and warranty/maintenance of all engineering disciplines applicable to urban railway, workshop and office environments
• Experience of project/maintenance planning over a number of complex and diverse activities
• High level of corporate awareness, business acumen and professional integrity.
