A freelance Mechanical Design Engineer (Building Services) is being sought for an initial contract term of two to three months work in Leeds.
You will be working as part of a focused multidisciplinary team and involved with a range of schemes from inception to completion. Their workload currently consists of commercial, health, education and Public Sector projects so they are able to assign schemes to you that match your own particular skillset.
It is likely that this contract will be extended due to the firms consistent success in winning work.
Qualifications/Skills Required
As a freelance Mechanical Design Engineer (Building Services) with proven skills and a good foundation in consulting engineering, you may not have formal qualifications but you will have demonstrable experience in building services.
Preferably you will be Chartered or near Chartered but this is by no means essential.
Ideally you will have worked within a consultancy on projects similar to those above but if you have been working within M&E contractors on D&B schemes your skills are equally relevant.
Computer literacy is important and you will be expected to have competent knowledge of standard office packages such as Word, Excel and Outlook as well as knowledge of Hevacomp or another calculations package. Any expertise you have with ISBEM or IES will be highly beneficial.
