Job Description

French Speaking Customer Services Assistant
Our client based in Huntingdon is seeking a French speaking Customer Services Agent to act as a member of the Customer Support Group to provide an efficient, prompt and courteous service to their customers.

Duties will include:
Customer Service :
* To respond to customer requests in an efficient and courteous manner.
* To develop and improve relationships between the Company and customers, both existing and potential.
* To gather information from contact with customers and to advise relevant parties.
* To identify and respond to potential sales opportunities.

Order processing -
* To enter orders onto the system.
* To ensure that any despatch, production, credit or administrative problem is dealt with and the customer is kept informed.

Enquiry processing -
* To ensure that all necessary information for an enquiry is collected from the customer prior to processing.
* This information must be passed to the Purchasing Group to assess and cost, if appropriate.
* To liaise with the Purchasing Group to monitor status of enquiries.

Quotations -
* To quote the customer by phone, when appropriate, and to confirm, in writing, along with any additional information.
* To follow up the quotation after an agreed period.

Customer database -
* To enter or amend entries correctly and assist in the maintenance of current records.
* To advise the Marketing Department of any major changes which might be necessary.
* To advise the Marketing Department of any opportunities that may be identified following contact with customers.

External customer liaison -
* To represent the Company at exhibitions and customer hospitality days.


Whilst the main area of activity will be with French speaking customers, work with other areas will be necessary.

Skills/Experience required:
* French national or have excellent spoken and written french.
* Computer literate
* Previous customer service experience would be an advantage but not essential.


Hours: 37.5 hours a week

Salary £16-18K Depending on experience
