Job Description

Main Purpose of Job Make use of available database resources including Excel, Equinox and Sigma to support the Database Manager and Fundraising Department. To work with the database manager in pro-actively developing detailed analysis of fundraising results in order to identify donor behaviour and trends. Position in Organisation Reporting to Membership Database Manager Scope of job Weekly/Monthly Imports and Exports Data Quality Mailing Selections Analysis/Reporting Training Dimensions & Limits of Authority Responsible for data quality through user training and data transfers First contact for Database queries, selections and analysis requests. Qualifications ‘A’ levels or equivalent essential Higher education/Degree desirable Experience Experience with relational Database software essential Knowledge of Equinox databases desirable Knowledge of computer programming desirable Proficient in the use of Excel 6 months or more working with databases desirable Understanding and interest in the principles of database marketing, segmenting and targeting is highly desirable Must be organised and a logical thinker and have good attention to detail Flexible and able to prioritise Good communication skills – the ability to report results clearly and accurately is essential
