An enthusiastic Geotechnical Engineer is required to join the team in Nottingham. The office has around 30 staff, 5 of which are Geotechnical / Environmental Engineers. Your role will be predominantly office based but time will be spent on site as required. The office in Nottingham works in partnership with the consultancies head office, producing a varied multi-disciplinary workload with a large number of projects underway at any time. You would be required to support the team leader with the co-ordination of team workload and coaching of less experienced Engineers.
Technically, your work will involve desk studies and organisation of ground investigations, preparation of investigative reports, design and preparation of specifications, client liaison, site attendance and provision of specialist advice to internal and external clients.
Qualifications/Skills Required
To apply for the position of Geotechnical Engineer you should ideally be qualified to MSc level in civil or geotechnical engineering. You should have good numerical skills and experience of report writing. You must have experience of geotechnical design, in particular geotechnical analysis. A driving license is also required.
